Washington County Schools Chipley Middle & High School
Ajax was the first Construction Manager at risk hired by the Washington County School District. The Chipley Middle/High school project involved the construction of a new school to serve 1,020 6th through 12th grade students with 1,200 student stations. This project was completed in two phases.
Phase I consisted of a 73,933 square foot Middle School. Phase II consisted of a 97,383 square foot High School. Both utilize sixty acres of site work and associated road improvements.In addition to the site utilities, the sitework consisted of four parking lots, two bus loops, approx. 130,000 sq. feet of concrete walks, two basketball courts, two softball fields, two PE/practice football fields with running tracks, a football field with accommodations for future bleachers and a band practice field (over 1,000,000 sq. feet of grassed area).
