University of South Florida Children’s Medical Services
The University of South Florida is a national leader in health professions education, health care delivery and basic clinical research. The Health Care and Education Center project included a five-year phased plan for the construction of several new facilities that provided a link between the College of Medicine, College of Nursing and the College of Public Health for students and staff involved in these programs. It was divided into several critical elements. The Children’s Medical Services Building was the final building constructed during this phased plan.
The three-story Children’s Medical Services Building supports both the Florida Department of Health and the USF College of Health. The building provided new clinical and office space for the DOH Children’s Medical Services on the 1st and 2nd floors. The 3rd Floor includes administrative spaces for the Dean of the USF College of Health.
