Northwest Florida State College Student Activities Center
This was a renovation to the existing Student Activities Center (Building K). The building is approximately 33,000 GSF and consisted of a coffee shop, game room, offices, the student bookstore, and storage space. The work completed in this building included the complete gutting and replacement of the mechanical and electrical systems throughout the building as well as selective demolition of interior and perimeter walls, finishes, doors and windows. This entire building received new finishes, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems throughout. Along with the selective demolition of the building interiors, the existing center structure of the building was completely removed and replaced with a multi-level roof system supported by new structural steel support members, thereby modernizing the appearance and integrating the more modern theme of the campus into this building.
This project earned an ABC Eagle Award of Excellence.
