project
Gallie Hall
For many years, Gallie’s Opera House was the cultural and social center for the Tallahassee community. Built in 1873 by grocer, Alexander Gallie, Gallie’s Hall was distinguished by its two-story iron gallery.
The building was completely rehabilitated in 1981, serving as a catalyst for the revitalization of the downtown area. Through the years (as recently as 1992), Ajax has continued to improve and/or restore portions or surrounding areas of the structure.
