Gadsden County Public Schools West Gadsden High School
Economical by design, by maximizing land use as well as bricks and mortar cost, the school includes facilities for a combination of middle and high school students. Originally designed as a nine-building project, plans have been modified and condensed to produce a six-building facility without compromising any of the square footage from the initial plans. The 117,422 square foot facility is situated on 62 acres, complete with classrooms, an administration building, media building, music building, gymnasium, and cafeteria building, as well as supporting structures and infrastructure. The facility also provides 50,049 square feet of hurricane shelter space for Gadsden County residents.
This project earned an ABC Eagle Award of Excellence.
