Gadsden County Public Schools East Gadsden High School
East Gadsden High School is situated on a scenic but hilly 100-acre site. The main campus is comprised of nine buildings with a total of 197,023 square feet. All buildings on site are one-story construction, and three of the buildings were constructed as hurricane shelters for public use. The football stadium complex is one of the finest in the area, and the new dual-enrollment building enables students from East Gadsden High School and Tallahassee Community College to study together in one facility. Additional athletic facilities included: a gymnasium, volleyball courts, and locker rooms. The remaining site was utilized for tennis and softball fields, parking lots and bus traffic.
National and Regional Award Winner
East Gadsden High School was voted Project of the Year at the 2003 Excellence in Construction Awards for the North Florida Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors and won First Place in the National Excellence in Construction Awards for Institutional Project in the $10 – $25 Million category. East Gadsden High School is truly the Nation’s Best!
