Duval County Schools Riverside High School
Riverside High School (formerly Lee High School) was completed in multiple phases. The project consisted of 110,000 SF of interior demolition, then retro-fitting building systems and finishes in the existing historic 3-story classroom building. The second phase included a 35,000 SF addition which included the construction of a new cafeteria/kitchen facility, classroom and meeting spaces. A new athletics training facility with locker rooms for the football team were built, while the football field and track were re-established.
The High School remained fully functional throughout the entirety of the project duration, and as part of our approach to complete the work in the most efficient manner possible, Ajax provided temporary modular facilities for the displaced students and staff, until the renovation was complete. Riverside High School was the second LEED Gold facility, and the seventh major project that Ajax has completed for Duval County Public Schools.
