Department of Health Liberty City Health Facility
The Liberty City Replacement Health Facility was a new facility that was constructed by the State of Florida Department of Health to better serve the residents of Liberty City. The total overall scope of the final facility included approximately 10,000 SF new facility with STD Care area, Primary Care Unit, WIC Area, Women’s Health/Family Planning Area, Tuberculosis Area, Immunization Area, and common areas as required to support these areas.
The Clinic itself is divided into three separate areas; a Multi-Purpose Clinic, a Walk-in Clinic, and a Common Area. The Multi-Purpose Clinic is approximately 5,000 SF and will serve as a flexible general purpose clinic. The Walk-in Clinic is approximately 4,000 SF and serve as a neighborhood WIC education center. The Common Area is approximately 1,000 SF of common/shared areas within the Clinic.
The structure consists of a slab on grade, CMU exterior walls and interior structural steel with bar joist roof framing. Site improvements to the 1.2 acre parcel included new water and sewer service, approximately 70 parking spaces with associated storm drainage systems and a lush landscape package.
