Pasco County Schools Cypress Creek Middle School
The Cypress Creek Middle School project was a new campus of 191,936 square feet next to the former Cypress Creek Middle High School which had been serving as both since Fall 2017.
The new facility serves grades six through eight and is Pasco County’s largest middle school housing 1,600 student stations. The design had a strong focus on fine and performing arts. There is a dedicated wing with its own black box theater separate from the main building for accessibility and use after school hours.
Given that the former middle/high school was catering to grades six through 11, the project was fast-tracked and the plan for tilt wall construction was key. Also, since the new campus was adjacent to the formerly active one, Ajax ensured the safety and separation of the students and school staff from the construction area.
