City of Clearwater Countryside Branch Library
This new single story library was constructed adjacent to the Countryside Recreation Center. The 23,524 square feet facility replaces the existing Countryside Branch Library for the City of Clearwater Library System. In addition, a mechanical renovation of the recreation center was added to the project to allow it to be served from the new common Central Energy Plant also serving the library.
The library was designed and built to meet the needs of the community for years to come. “It’s tremendously exciting to build a new library building,” Barbara Pickell, director of Clearwater’s library system said. “The old building served us well for 25 years. It’s time to retire it and move on to a library that can meet our future needs.”
