Ajax Awarded Santa Rosa County Courthouse Project

We are thrilled and honored to have been chosen for the Santa Rosa County Courthouse project! We will be partnering with Sam Marshall Architects, and HOK for a design-build of a brand new judicial center complex. This complex will be approximately 100,000 SF and constructed on a 19 acre parcel on Avalon Blvd. in Milton. The project, per Florida Statute 255.

We are very excited to get to work with the University of Florida again, as we have just been awarded their Data Science & Information Technology Center project. This project will total approximately 260,000 SF between two inter-connected buildings located where the current bookstore and visitor center parking lot is now.

The Okaloosa Courthouse just held its ribbon cutting ceremony to a crowd of about 250 people. Although previously relocated employees have not moved into the new facility the first case is scheduled for January 2nd.

Ajax Building Corporation of Georgia has just been awarded the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center expansion in Canton, GA. We will be teaming up Studio 8 Design for the architecture and engineering. The current detention facility was completed in 2002, but the jail with only 96 beds dates back 30 plus years.

According to their survey, "As a group, the Top 100 Green Design Firms in 2017 generated $6.21 billion in design revenue from projects registered with and actively seeking certification from third-party ratings groups under objective sustainable-design standards, such as the USGBC’s LEED standards.

The students of Monroe County started back to school earlier this month. However, the students of Gerald Adams Elementary School will get a second first day of school as they will be moving into their new facility by Christmas break.

Despite the recent rainy weather setbacks, construction of the new Okaloosa County Courthouse will be completed by the end of this month. It will be closer to October before the new courthouse will be 100% operational as it will take some time for county administrative offices to move into their new space.

The Florida Trust for Historic Preservation recently held their 2018 Preservation Awards and the UF Newell Hall project received a Meritorious Achievement in the Green Buildings category. Newell Hall is the third oldest building on UF's campus and had previously been vacant since 2012.
