CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) – May Howard Elementary in Savannah broke ground Friday to begin building a new school.
The new building will replace the school’s current one and will be about 106,000 square feet. The new school will have 46 classrooms including a music room, computer lab and gym. The school is designed to hold up to 750 students. “Today is such a wonderful day on this day of groundbreaking. It’s just a continuance of a legacy of over 50 years here at May Howard Elementary School,” said Principal Lesley Taylor. The project is expected to be completed by August 2017.
