Governor Ron DeSantis Receives Preview Tour of the FAMU CASS Project
February 24th, 2020 – It was an exciting morning yesterday at the Florida A&M University Center for Access & Student Success (CASS) jobsite, as Governor Ron DeSantis came for a preview tour. In May of last year, FAMU was eagerly awaiting decision about the remaining almost $25 million needed to finish the CASS project already underway. Luckily, Gov. DeSantis spared the veto and the request was granted. As FAMU President, Larry Robinson, Ph.D., remarked, “This building is more than just a building to us.” It’s something that’s essential to something we talk about all the time at Florida A&M University: Student success. FAMU is on the rise and the numbers tell the story, however the services we provide to students is the most critical part of what we are gathering here to celebrate.”
