FDACS Bronson Animal Disease Diagnostic Lab Now Open
Ajax Building Company and Reynolds, Smith & Hills (RS&H) proudly presented the brand new Bronson Animal Disease and Diagnostic Laboratory to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FLDACS) in an exciting ribbon cutting ceremony on October 3rd. Ajax was selected, along with AE partner RS&H, to expand the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Animal Disease and Diagnostic Laboratory in Central Florida, a project that began in May of 2018. This 20,414 square foot facility houses the Division of Animal Industry which is responsible for enforcing animal health regulations in Florida, as well as protecting the state from animal pests and diseases which could have major economic and public health consequences.
“The lab is more than just veterinary diagnostics. They also keep tabs on high-consequence animal diseases like African swine fever or Zika virus and work closely with the health department to better public safety. “And we have an opportunity to really make a big difference on how we’re treating all of our animals across the state. And really an opportunity for others to bring their animals here,” said Nikki FriedGo to https://www.fdacs.gov/About-Us/Meet-Commissioner-Fried the Commissioner for Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services.”
