UF Center for Movement Disorders & Neurorestoration
This project was a 14,400 SF Renovation/Remodel of the 4th Floor Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute at the University of Florida to house the Center for Movement Disorders and Neurorestoration. The new Center offers the highest level of integrated, interdisciplinary care for patients with movement and neuropsychiatric disorder. The Center boasts new, state-of-the-art equipment and some of the best specialists in the field.
The work required demolition and removal of existing interior partitions, doors and door frames, ceilings, and finishes. The space includes 21 dedicated patient exam rooms, two National Park style check-in rooms, as well as tailored space for clinical trials, research, telemedicine, and for one of the world’s largest movement disorders databases. The space is equipped with a full physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy area, and convenient in building access to a MRI and swallow suite.
